Kevin Anthony Swords, 37 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday December 20, 2007 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1970 in Portsmouth to the late Homer Lawrence "Mick" Swords and Helena Jean Ealey Swords of West Portsmouth. Along with his father Kevin is preceded in death by a son Michael Anthony Swords, a brother Donald Ray Swords and a sister Rebecca Swords. He was a logger.

Kevin is survived bay 2 children Logan and Cody Swords of West Portsmouth, 8 brothers; Homer K. "Buck", Gerald L., Jeffrey Randy, Herman Edward, Clayton, Rickey and Leroy Swords, 11 sisters; Pat Vest, Gloria Johnson, Vivian Foster, Roxann Porter, Tammy Crabtree, Regina Carter, Frances Piatt, Nancy Scarberry, Karen Swim, Corita Bartley and Letitia Swords.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday December 28, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Robert Porter officiating and interment in Vaughters Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
