Kimberly Marie Rakes, 54

Kimberly Marie Rakes, 54 of Minford died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her home.  She was born June 14, 1966 in Portsmouth to the late Reece and Virginia Thompson Sexton.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Rakes whom she married June 16, 2009, 2 brothers; William Thompson and Ryan Sexton.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Blue Run Christian Fellowship Church, and loved listening to Steve Free's music.

Kimberly is survived by 5 sisters; JoAnn Thompson, Carol (Don) Cooper, Cora Gorman, Dianne Lemaster, and Reeca Ball, a brother, Joseph Sexton, and nieces; Stephanie and Jessica, along with several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Blue Run Christian Fellowship Church with Phil Howard officiating and interment in Jacobs Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday starting at 12:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the funeral home.  Condolences and donations may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
