Larry Linwood Vassar, 82

Larry Linwood Vassar, 82 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Chillicothe VA Hospital. He was born May 7, 1941, in Portsmouth to the late Harry and Jenny Setters Vassar.

Larry was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired mechanic, working for Frank Tiedge and Capital Pontiac. He was a member of the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion and the New Boston Eagles.

Larry is survived by 5 sons, Larry Vassar Jr., Shawn Vassar, Robert Vassar, Steve Vassar and Scott Vassar; 3 brothers, Phil Vassar, Bill Vassar and Gerald Vassar, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
