Laura Kay Slusher-Mefford, 39

Laura Kay Slusher-Mefford, 39 of Minford died Saturday March 5, 2022. She was born March 14, 1982 in Portsmouth to Marvin Ray Slusher and the late Joy Lynn Tupper.

Laura was a Recovery Specialist at The Counseling Center in Portsmouth and was active with the Directly Affected Program.

Along with her mother she is preceded in death by a son Robert Littlefield II.

Laura is survived by her husband Jerry Wayne Mefford whom she married August 17, 2018, her daughters: Maddison Slusher (Blake), and Mya Walk (Parker). 4 sons: Mark Walk (Frankie), Timmy Walk, Kingston Littlefield, and Amaris Littlefield. 4 grandchildren: Elijah Walk, Zion Wedebrook, Bristen Steele and Leela Workman. 4 brothers: Aaron Slusher, Randy Yates, Ethan Slusher and Brandon Slusher and a sister Physcilla Slusher. Her grandparents who raised her Leroy and Elsie Slusher, and grandparents Steve Hayslip and Reda Eichenlaub.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday March 13, 2022 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Danny Thompson officiating. . Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday starting at 1:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
