Lawrence Oakley Wooten, 64

Lawrence Oakley "Bud" Wooten, 64 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday April 24, 2016 at his home. He was born November 18, 1951 in Scioto County to the late Charles and Thelma Stevenson Wooten. He was a foreman for Washington Township where he worked for over 20 years and was a Navy Veteran.

Along with his parents Bud was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Chuck and Joe Wooten and a sister Margaret Stevens. Bud is survived by a son Lawrence Oakley Wooten II and a daughter Amy Sue Wooten both of West Portsmouth, a grandson Dakota Sean Allard, a sister Edith Wooten and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday April 26, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating. Interment will be in Vaughters Cemetery with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 11:00 am.
