Leonard "Lum" Oiler, 74
Leonard "Lum" Nelson Oiler, 74 of West Portsmouth died Monday, April 09, 2007 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Lum was born November 17, 1932 in Portsmouth to the late James and Kathryn Ealey Oiler. He was a salesman for David's Shoes of Cincinnati, Supervisor of Shipping at Williams Shoe Manufacturing, Manager of West End Shoe Mart, member of a Men's Bowling League, attended Nauvoo United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department. Lum loved sports and going to flea markets.
Lum is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Morrow Oiler; a son Steve Oiler of Rosemount; a daughter Julie Gill of West Portsmouth, three sisters, Joyce Odell, Virginia Baer and Naomi Ruggles all of Portsmouth; four grandchildren, Heather Oiler, Josh Oiler, Megan Conkel and Ian Gill; and one great grandson Canaan Conkel.. Lum was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Larry and Jim Oiler;
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Sunset Gardens.
