Leslie Junior Monroe, 73

Leslie Junior Monroe, 73 of Otway, died Monday June 1, 2020 at SOMC Hospice. He was born May 12, 1947 in Garrison, Kentucky to the late Noble and Sylvia Hammonds Monroe. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Monroe and a sister, Janet Craft.

Leslie is survived by his son, Leslie Monroe II; 2 daughters, Tammy Morris and Teresa (Kelly) Rister; 5 brothers, Buddy, Roger, William, Ricky, and Billy Monroe; 7 sisters, Judy Journey, Lydia Stockham, Betty Gamble, Donna Priode, Joyce Scott, Patricia Monroe, and Sandy May; 9 grandchildren, Natacha, Melissa, Justin, Kelly, Constance, Sadie, Derek, Tierra, and Cierra, and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM  Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Gary Newman officiating and interment in Stoney Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at 11:00 AM.
