Leuomon Stewart, 94
Leuomon Stewart, 94, of Portsmouth died Thursday July 5, 2012 at Hill View Health Care Center. He was born April 5, 1918. in Eden, Alabama to the late B.P. and Lucy Kilgrove Stewart. He was a retired minister and a member of the Church of God. Along with his parents, Leuomon was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Mae Miller Stewart, whom he married on July 20, 1946, in Rome, Georgia.
Leuomon is survived by a son and his wife, Dr. Kendall and Fay Stewart of Portsmouth, 2 grandsons, Jonathan Stewart of Columbus and Timothy (Emma) Stewart of Portsmouth, and a great grandson, Hunter Verhaden Stewart, of Portsmouth.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in East View Cemetery in Rome, Georgia. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Leuomon's name. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
