Linda Susan Barfield, 65

Linda Susan Barfield, 65 of Portsmouth , died Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born on April 3, 1950 in Harlan , Kentucky to the late Lee and Jane Ferrell Hightower. Linda was a retired transcriptionist for Holzer Medical Center . Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ellis Barfield Jr., 3 brothers Eric, Doug, and Larry Hightower, one sister Frieda Noe, and stepdaughter Becky Barfield.

Linda is survived by her son John (Kelly) Culver of Portsmouth, a daughter Traci Carver of West Portsmouth, 5 brothers; Charles (Linda) Hightower of Dayton, David (Libby) Hightower of Harlan, KY, Gary (Mary) Hightower of Portsmouth, Virgil (Tammy) Hightower of Wheelersburg, and Terry (Dee) Hightower of South Webster. 3 sisters Vera Roof of Sciotoville, Phyllis (Morty) Lockert of South Webster, Delores "Sugar" Stewart of Oak Hill, 3 stepchildren; Joe (Paula) Barfield of Waverly, Chris Barfield of Waverly, and Bobby Joe (Sheena) Barfield of Kentucky, a brother in law, Jim Noe of Barboursville, KY, sister in law Patty Hightower, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
