Linda Violet Lucille Blevins, 59

Linda (Lindie) Violet Lucille Blevins, 59 of Upper Twin Creek Road, went home to be with the Lord Thursday July 30, 2009 at SOMC Hospice. She was born September 17, 1949 in Portsmouth to the late Oscar and Liza Fite Blevins. Along with her parents Lindie was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Blevins, 2 nephews; Marty Taylor and Codie Morgan and a niece Jo Arelenn Blevins. She loved the outdoors and all kinds of animals. Fall was her favorite time of year. She also loved working in her flower beds, Honeysuckles were her favorite.

Lindie is survived by 2 brothers; Robert (Sharon) Blevins of Upper Twin Creek and Woodrow (Susie) Blevins of Stout, 1 sister Susie (Roger) Holsinger of Stout, 5 nephews; Jackie (Kim) Blevins, Jesse (Amber) Taylor, Ronnie Denning, Greg Denning, Ryan Cook, and Tommy Blevins. She also had 4 best friends; Wanda Massie, Virginia Parker, Rita Markwell and Debbie Sissel. She was also survived by her companion of 35 years Donald Sparks, 2 great nephews; Little Jack Blevins and Blake Hunter Boldman as well as many cousins and her cat "Bootie".

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday August 3, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with David Blevins officiating and interment in Stepp Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Sunday and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
