Lindsey "Linny" Livingston

Lindsey "Linny" Jane Livingston of Stout, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on May 22, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents James and Loraine Monk and her son, Aaron "the Awesome" Livingston.

She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Larry Livingston (me) , two daughters, Sarah Jane Livingston, and Analisa Trares (John); a brother Layne (Penny) Monk (Wanna go, Wanna go); two nieces, Kelly O'Connell (Dave) and Brandy Falk (Joshua); and 4 grandchildren, Noah, Drake, Lance, and Amber.

Linny was a pillar of strength and a beacon of kindness, touching the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was also a great secret keeper and shocked us all in 2016 when she and Larry were found by their love child Analisa. What a blessing Analisa has been to the entire Monk Clan!

Linny was the most generous personalized gift giver and was more blessed by giving than receiving. She enjoyed Jeopardy, trivia, puzzles, making quizzes, reading books, especially the dark ones, and anything lemon.

In the early 1970s, Linny helped manage her husband Larry and his brother Roger with their family scrap business Livingston & Co., Inc. No matter who walked through the doors or who they employed they were all treated as family. A tradition still being carried out today. Before she was a scrapper, she was a nurse. A darn good one too. She worked the night shift in the ER at Mercy and Scioto Memorial and before that she used her nursing skills at the steel mill in New Boston. Maybe that is why she loved creepy horror movies and murder books???

Linny attended Nauvoo United Methodist Church where she and Larry met lifelong friends and received many blessings.

The funeral service will be held Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Nauvoo Global Church in West Portsmouth. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to services.
