Lloyd Stone, 69

Lloyd Stone, 69 of Beaver Ridge, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday June 3, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. He was born July 7, 1944 in Greenup, KY to the late James Clifford (Tip) and Myrtle Daniels Stone. Along with his parents Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Kate Penwell Stone who he married in 1968, a daughter Melissa Stone Weisel, a brother Troy Stone, 3 brothers in law; Clarence Rhoden, Jeff Wilburn and Rick Nichols.

Lloyd is survived by 2 sons; Cameron and Rodney Stone of Beaver Ridge, 3 brothers; Eddie and Raymond Stone of Pike County and Melvin Stone of McArthur, 5 sisters; Geneva Rhoden of Portsmouth, Marthie Moore, Virginia (Walter) Shanks, Caroline Wilburn and Mary Nichols all of Pike County, a son in law Rick Weisel along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday June 9, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Alfa Vanhoy officiating and interment in Lapperall Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family would like to thank OSU Hospital and SOMC Hospice for their wonderful Care.
