Loretta Grace Bower Henderson 73

Loretta Grace Bower Henderson of West Portsmouth, died Monday, July 27, 2009 on her 73rd birthday at S.O.M.C. Loretta was born to the late George "Ernie" Bower and Mary H. Lovejoy Bower in Coshocton, Ohio. Also known as "Toots" to her friends, she attended Portsmouth West High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was involved with every activity involving her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Carl E. Henderson (Bo), her husband of 49 years in 2001.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Carl E. and Barb Henderson; a daughter and her husband, Debra Jean and Mark Morgan; Five granddaughters, Jennifer Nicole and her husband Justin Throckmorton, Megan Marie and her husband Jarrod Craft, Amelia Victoria Morgan, Grace Ellen Morgan and Olivia Henderson Morgan. Also surviving are four sisters; Mary Alice and her husband Bill Dunham, Dolcia Ann Hamilton, Jeanie and her husband Dallas Ratcliff, and Donna Charlene and her husband George Essman and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 PM Friday, July 31, 2009 at Friendship Cemetery with the Reverend Stanley N. Webster officiating. Friends and family are invited to the Nile Township Community Center adjacent to the cemetery, immediately following the service to honor Loretta with food and fellowship.
