Louella May Howard, 90

Louella May Estep Howard, 90 of West Portsmouth died Thursday September 8, 2011 at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 13, 1921 in York, Ky to the late Lenville and Mallie Adkins Estep and was raised by the late Lueda and Herbert Estep. She was a homemaker and a 60 year member of Starlight Enterprise Baptist Church. She was always working for the Lord was a Christian for 79 years. She was a loving mother grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was loved by all and tried to feed you all the time. Along with her parents Louella was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Ezra Howard Sr., 4 sons; Ricky, Eddie, Joe and David Howard, 2 daughters Mary Sue Howard and Bonnie Howard, 2 brothers; Harold and Bill Estep and a sister Kathryn Irene Estep.

Louella is survived by 2 sons Ernie Howard and Jim Howard both of West Portsmouth, 5 daughters; Linda Martin and Judy Skaggs of West Portsmouth, Nancy Hall and Rudi Smith of Amelia and Betsy Altfas of Portland, Or., 2 brothers John R. Estep of West Portsmouth and David Estep of Texas, 29 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren


Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday September 12, 2011 at Starlight Enterprise Baptist Church on Dry Run in West Portsmouth with Jim Collier and Charles Tackett Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Estep-Howard Cemetery in West Portsmouth. Friends may call at the Roger W.
