Mable Maxine Swords, 91

Mable Maxine Swords, 91, of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday January 16, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. She was born October 1, 1926 in St. Paul , Kentucky to the late Tex and Ada Greene. She was a homemaker and a member of Pond Creek Church of Christ for 60 years.

Along with her parents Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Norman William "Dose" Swords, who died in 2006, a son Norman Swords Jr. who died in 2001, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Maxine is survived by 2 sons; Danny (Cathy) Swords and Jerry Lee (Jean) Swords, a daughter in law, Catherine Swords all of West Portsmouth, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday January 19, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Richard Lee Mayer II officiating and interment in Mershon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home form 6 to 8:00 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
