Margaret V. McCall, 90

Margaret V. McCall, 90 of Lucasville, died Sunday August 16, 2015 at River Bend House in Wheelersburg. She was born June 20, 1925 in Portsmouth to the late Samuel H. and Florence Elizabeth Zornes Cox. She retired from Washington Nile School District after 35 years as a Teacher and also Guidance Counselor. She also attended First Presbyterian Church in Portsmouth. Along with her parents Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Theodore McCall who she married March 18, 1945, 3 brothers; Kenneth Eugene Cox, Lloyd Frederick Cox and Samuel Warren Cox and a sister Ruth Ilene Irey.

Margaret is survived by a daughter Cathy Lynn (David) Wear of West Portsmouth and a son Michael Allen McCall of Staffordsville, VA, 5 grandchildren; Major Brian D. (Pam) Wear of Lancaster, CA (Kandahar, Afghanistan) , Wendy Michelle (Tony) Rettke of Reynoldsburg, Traci (James) Warnock of Portsmouth, Michael Todd (Kelly) McCall of Harrisburg, PA and Troy Allen McCall of Wheelersburg, 10 great grandchildren and a brother Russell L. (Jane) Cox of Wellston along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday August 20, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jeannie C. Harsh officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the West Portsmouth Alumni Association or SOMC Hospice.
