Marilyn K. Nickles, 72

Marilyn K. Nickles, 72 of West Portsmouth died Monday, May 27, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1940 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Everett and Louise Friley Dye. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Liligene Stone.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 50 years Virgil Lee Nickles who she married on September 15, 1962, a son Samuel Lee (Cindi) Nickles of McDermott, a brother James (Janice) Dye of Cincinnati and 2 grandchildren; Lynzee and Nathan Nickles.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday May 31, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Bierly Road in Portsmouth with Bishop Cox officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 am until the funeral hour. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W.
