Martha Mae "Susie" Bishop, 64

Martha Mae "Susie" Bishop, 64 of West Portsmouth, died Monday, June 15, 2026 at her home. She was born June 11, 1962 in Portsmouth, to the late Edgar and Dollie Brown.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jonathan "John" Bishop, whom she married on April 11, 1982, brothers; Everett Brown, William Brown, Leroy Brown, Jr Brown, Edgar Brown Jr. and Joe Brown, sisters; Violet Scott, Pauline Scott, Maxine Neal, Myrtle Crabtree, Phyllis Bertram, Mabel Hobbs, Marie Judy Brown, Marie Brown and Sarah Brown.

Susie is survived by 4 sons; Jonathan (Robin) Bishop, Jeffrey (Crystal) Bishop Sr., Andrew (Breann) Bishop and Michael (Danielle) Bishop, a brother, Charles Brown, 2 sisters; Rosetta Hobbs and Mary Alice Rhoden, 9 grandchildren; JR, RJ, AJ (Blue Eyes), Hunter (Chunky Chunk), Jeffrey Jr., Anthony, Ryan, Bradley and Cohen.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Don Monttased officiating and interment in Drake Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 1:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
