Mary E. Beard, 92
Mary E. Beard, 92 of Charlotte, NC formerly of Portsmouth, died Saturday December 18, 2010 at White Oak Manor in Charlotte. She was born November 5, 1918 in Leetonia, Ohio to the late Rocco and Elizabeth Renaldo Pastore. She was lovingly adopted and raised by Mr. And Mrs. Albert C. Frazier of Portsmouth, Ohio. Mrs. Beard was a life long member of Temple Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, librarian, choir member and helped with meals on wheels. She worked and retired from both Montgomery Wards and Glockners. Along with her parents Mary was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Drummond and her husband Charles Beard, who she married on June 8, 1939 in Portsmouth, and 2 sons; John W. Beard and Frazier T. Beard.
Mary is survived by 2 daughter-n-laws Carol Beard and Pak Beard both of Charlotte, NC, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 gt gt grandchildren.
There will be graveside services 1:00 PM Wednesday December 22, 2010 at Scioto Burial Park with Reverend John Gowdy officiating and burial to follow. Friends and family will start to gather at Noon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
