Mary Frances Conley, 74

Mary Frances Conley, 74 of Portsmouth, died Thursday May 18, 2023, at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 24, 1949, in Portsmouth to the late Joseph and Gertrude Frazier Boggs.

Along with her parents Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Boggs and 2 grandchildren, Brandi Conley and Andrew Raines.

Mary was a retired home health care worker. In the arena of life, she played every match with zeal, celebrating victories and embracing defeats. With eyes sparkling like game show lights, she reveled in the thrill of competition, both on the field and in her beloved game shows. As we bid farewell to a true sports enthusiast and avid game show viewer, her spirit of enthusiasm and zest for life will forever echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate to witness her passion. She possessed little in the way of worldly possessions, but her heart was a treasury of boundless love and compassion.

Mary is survived by a son, Jeff (Sonia Howerton) Boggs, a daughter, Tracey (Bill) Nichols, a sister, Barbara Bazler and 2 grandchildren, Alyssa Raines and Austin (Christina) Raines along with many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday May 22, 2023, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Family and friends will gather starting at 1:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
