Mary Vivian Lyons Jones, 73 of Portsmouth, Ohio went to be with the Lord March 12, 2005 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Vivian was born June 18, 1931 in Forest Dale, Ohio to the late Jelius and Ollie Patterson Lyons. She had attended Victory Baptist Church in West Portsmouth Prior to her long term illness.

Vivian retired from Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio after forty two years in the CSS Dept. and was living with her daughter Sandra in Portsmouth, Ohio. She is survived by one daughter Sandra Kay Jones of Portsmouth and one son David Anthony (Deborah) Jones of Rarden, Ohio; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and one brother Forest (Wanda) Lyons of Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by one grandson Scott Anthony Bailey.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Robert Taylor officiating and interment in Rushtown Cemetery.
