Mary K. Shaffer, 90
Mary K. Shaffer, 90 of West Portsmouth died Sunday, November 21, 2004 at Heartland of Portsmouth. Mary was born August 11, 1914 in Friendship to the late Emory and Jeanette Sowards Tatman. Mary was a former resident of Biggs House. She worked for many years as a Volunteer for the Senior Center and she was a faithful member of the Dry Run Church of Christ.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Howard A. Shaffer, a son Tom Shaffer, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by a son Jerry (Carlene) Shaffer of Portsmouth, three daughters, Maxine (James) Loless of West Portsmouth, Ada (Preston) Brickey of West Portsmouth, and Willa (Lowell) Fenton of Portsmouth; one sister, Edna Tatman of Uhrichsville; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Dry Run Church of Christ with Pastor Mark Seevers officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and at the Church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
