Mary Alice Hall, 83

Mary Alice Hall, 83 of West Portsmouth died Thursday July 24, 2014 at Hempstead Manor. She was born March 8, 1931 in Portsmouth to the late Orville and Nervie Lands Traylor. She was retired from US Laundry and a member of 7th Street Christian Baptist Church. Along with her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband William Hall who she married on October 27, 1951, a son Brian Hall, 4 brothers; George, Henry Jess and Estel Traylor, 5 sisters; Agnes Stone, Ocaleen Blanton, Stella Gibson, Judith Altop and Betty Rhea and a grandson in law Bobby Gilley. Mary is survived by 2 sons; William Charles (Nancy) Hall of Cincinnati and Phillip Eugene Hall of West Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren; Aeric (Shannon) Hall of Cincinnati and Andrea Gilley of Stout, 2 great grandchildren; Cole and Maddie Gilley, a sister; Hanna Cox of Lucasville and a special friend and caregiver Susan Thornsberry. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday July 28, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Lisa Crawford officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
