Mary Ann Vaughters, 91
Mary Ann Vaughters, 91 of Cold Spring, Kentucky formerly of West Portsmouth, Ohio, died Thursday April 4, 2013 at her home. She was born January 25, 1922 in Montour, PA to the late Ray L. and Ada Zettlemoyer Keefer. She was a retired LPN from the Portsmouth Receiving Hospital and was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Portsmouth Chapter #424, the White Shrine of Jerusalem and the James Dickey Post 23American Legion. Mary enjoyed country music, going to the Life Center and spending time with her family. Her hobbies were reading and working with her flowers. Along with her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband Enos Michael Vaughters who she married April 6, 1946, a twin brother John Keefer, 3 sisters; Evelyn Moll, Ruth Mitch and Mildred Wray.
Mary is survived by a daughter Sharon Vaughters of Cold Spring, Ky., a son Michael (Linda) Vaughters of Shoreacres TX., 2 granddaughters; Gina (Eric) Becker of Garrison, Ky., and Ashley Vaughters of Shoreacres, TX, a great granddaughter Michayla Becker along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday April 10, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Craddock Frye officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday with Eastern Star services starting at 8:00 PM by the Portsmouth Chapter #424 of the Eastern Star. Friends may also call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. The family requests that any donations be made to the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion and the SOMC Life Center in Mary's name. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
