Matthew Steven Voorheis, 39 of West Portsmouth died Saturday August 3, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1974 in Portsmouth to Ronald ( Roselind) Voorheis of Chesapeake, VA and Sandra Roe Pond of Ft Wayne, IN.

Matthew is survived by his wife Tabatha Jean Parker Voorheis who he married on June 28, 2010, a stepson James Scaff of West Portsmouth, a brother Kelly Cummins of Cincinnati and a sister Shelia Voorheis of Chesapeake, VA,, grandmother Margaret Roe of Minford, mother-in-law Janet Parker of West Portsmouth and special aunts; Cecilia (Steven) Meyers and Betty (Johnny) Osborne.
