Maybelle L.A. Krueger, 82
Maybelle L. A. Krueger, 82, a resident for many years at 1213 Main St., West Portsmouth; lately a resident of Rest Haven Rehab and Health Care Facility in McDermott went to reside in Heaven with God and the angels on Thursday, October 6, 2005. She was born November 18, 1922 in Portsmouth a daughter of Otto E. and Mauda L. Evans Krueger.
Maybelle worked several years for the former Selby Shoe Factory. She also worked at Martings, Kresges, and other downtown department stores. She was a volunteer worker for the COAD Child Care Resource Network, with Headstart, and in pediatrics at Southern Ohio Medical Center for ten years. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who was always ready and willing to act in concern and care for others. She was for several years a devoted caregiver and companion to her invalid Mother. She was a member of the West Portsmouth congregation of The Community of Christ, formerly known as The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Maybelle was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Davola L. McCown and Arona Green, and a nephew Joseph E. Krueger. She is survived by a brother, William E. (Viola) Krueger of Waverly, Ohio; two nephews James F. Krueger and James E. McCown of West Portsmouth; a niece Maria K. Krueger (Karl) Crabtree of Waverly and their son Joseph C. (Rebecca) Crabtree of Piketon. Also survived by Alicia, Kristi, John, Thomas, Jesse, Amanda, Ashley and Amber; all children of James (Johnny) McCown; as well as a host of friends, and fellow Church members, all of whom she loved and loved her.
Visitation for Maybelle will be from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, October 10, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Graveside services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at McKendree Cemetery at Stout, Ohio with
