Melissa Kaye Cole, 39

Melissa Kaye Cole, 39 of West Portsmouth went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday November 7, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born December 3, 1973 in Portsmouth, the daughter of Bob and Evelyn Cole of West Portsmouth.

Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents; Bruce and Hester Cole, Omar Patton, and Clyde and Ada Joseph, uncles; Lawrence Patton, Bruce, Jim and Roy Cole and an aunt Ruth Webb.

Melissa was a 1992 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and a lifelong member of Bible Chapel Church. She was employed by Scioto Residential at the Goosecreek House where she worked with and cared for her second family.

Along with her parents Melissa is survived by her brother Bobby and sister-in-law Sherry Cole of West Portsmouth, a loving niece and nephew Alexis Brooke Cole and Eli Robert Cole. She is also survived by several special aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday November 10, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Danny Blevins officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. She will take her final trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway with her family to her favorite place in Cades Cove.
