Michael Louis Martin, 56
Michael Louis Martin, 56, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Michael was born July 18, 1949 in Portsmouth to Louis and Katherine Lorine Kamer Martin. He was employed by Portsmouth City Schools and was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church.
Michael is survived by his wife Linda Cook Martin; four sons, Michael Louis Martin, Jr. of Portsmouth, Kevin Smith of Columbus, Shawn Tyree of Chicago, IL, and Larry D. Tyree of Chillicothe; four daughters, Christine Scott of West Portsmouth, Kimberly Smith of Columbus, Cindy Crabtree of West Portsmouth, and Sherri Crabtree of Athens; one brother Gary Lee Martin of Lucasville; two sisters, Pamela Kay Smith of Wheelersburg, and Tracy Anne Johnson of West Portsmouth; a special friend Audrey Collins; 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with James McCullough officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 4 to 7 P.M. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
