Dixie Michelle Bennett, 45

Dixie Michelle Bennett, 45 of West Portsmouth, died Friday February 10, 2017 at her home. She was born August 23, 1971 in Portsmouth to the late Troy Garrett Moore and Thelma Duncan Evans. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Bennett.

Michelle is survived by a son Cody Bennett, 2 daughters; Melissa Bennett and Samantha Bennett, 3 stepsons; George, Terry and Robert Bennett, 2 stepdaughters; Crystal Bennett and Heidi Switzer, 2 brothers; John Correll and Troy Moore, 3 sisters; Alberta Hiles, Marie Winn and Renee Osborne and 4 grandchildren; Brandon, Melina, Tara and Stevie.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday February 16, 2017 at Oswego Cemetery. Family and friends will gather starting at Noon. The family requests that any donations be made to the funeral home.
