Mildred Boland, 80

Mildred "Granny" Boland, 80 of Buena Vista, died Wednesday February 20, 2013 at Concord Health Care Center. She was born April 11, 1932 in Adams County to the late William R. and Bonnie Young Hayslip. Mildred was retired from Scioto County Job and Family Services and attended Friendship Church of God. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son Timothy Ray Stepp, a granddaughter Sabrina Spencer, 4 brothers; William R. "Bobbie" Hayslip Jr., Donald Hayslip, John Dudley Hayslip and David Hayslip and a sister Rosemary Curnutte.


Mildred is survived by her husband David Duane Boland who she married on August 10, 1985, 3 daughters; Donja Spencer of Bay Town, TX., Sharon (Ken) Mundhenk of West Portsmouth and Deborah (Larry) Drake of Wheelersburg, a brother Thomas Hayslip of Portsmouth, 2 sisters; Lois Jenkins and Brenda Pelphrey both of Stout, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday February 23, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Chris Wiseman officiating and interment in Mckendree Cemetery.
