Millard A. "Milt" Gunnoe, 76

Millard A. "Milt" Gunnoe, 76 of West Portsmouth, went to be with the lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at SOMC Hospice. He was born February 20, 1931 in Nellis, West Virginia to the late Lester and Icie Kinder Gunnoe. Milt retired after 21 years at Krogers, he was a Navy Veteran where he served as a gunners mate on the heavy cruiser USS Salem in the Mediterranean. He was a graduate of the Freed-Hardeman Bible College in TN, was an avid squirrel and rabbit hunter and ace horse shoe pitcher.

Milt is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Page Gunnoe who he married on December 23, 1949 in West Virginia, 2 sons; Tom (Becky) Gunnoe and Steve (Donna) Gunnoe all of West Portsmouth, 2 daughters; Pam (Bob) Dinehart of Waylen, NY and Deena (Ron) Peecher of Bluefield, West Virginia. 2 half brothers Tom and Tony Kepp of West Portsmouth and 2 sisters; Joyce Stevens of Columbus and Jean Hewitt of Portsmouth, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Milt and his humor will be sadly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and customers.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jack Lore officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5to 8PM on Friday and 1 hour before the service on Saturday.
