Myrtle L. Gifford, 72

Myrtle Louise Weghorst Gifford, 72 of Stout passed away Monday July 9, 2012 at SOMC Hospice. She was born April 29, 1940 in Adams County to the late Illie A. "Boob" and Lucy Hayslip Weghorst. Myrtle attended Blue Creek Tabernacle in Adams County for many years and was a homemaker. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Gifford who she married May 25, 1956. A sister; Doris Riffe, 3 brothers; Freddie, Glenn, and Leon Weghorst.

Myrtle is survived by 2 sons; Keith (Linda) Gifford and Mark (Connie) Gifford both of Stout, 11 grandchildren; Aaron (Kimberly) Gifford, Denver (Chrissy) Gifford, Jessica Burdett, Alicia Showalter, Angel (Patrick) Thompson, Glenda Gifford, Miranda Gifford, Cody (Amanda) Gifford, Shey (Jimmy) Galloway, Austin Gifford and Mark C. Gifford, 10 great grandchildren; Colton and Joselyn Gifford, Devin and Hunter Gifford, Danren and Roschelle Cantrell, Kylee and Brock Burdett, Dannie Galloway and Maddie McNutt, 4 step Grandchildren; Brookelynn and Ahlyesa Taylor and Katie and Staci Galloway, a sister; Thelma (Ron) Kersey and nephew Rodney of West Union, very special nieces and nephews; Billie Baker and Greg (Ruthie) Cooper.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday July 14, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Luke Hurst officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
