Myrtle Thacker, 90

Myrtle Thacker, 90 of West Portsmouth, died Friday December 24, 2010 at Southern Ohio Medical center. She was born April 5, 1920 in McGoffin County, Kentucky to the late Henderson and Della Shepherd Neeley. She was a homemaker. Along with her parents Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband Chester Thacker who she married on July 3, 1937 in Vanceburg, Ky. Along with 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Myrtle is survived 3 Sons; Don (Phyllis) Thacker and Tim (Wendy) Thacker all of West Portsmouth and Bill (Mavis) Thacker of Salem Oregon, 2 daughters; Sharon (Charlie) Clark and Nancy Wright both of Portsmouth, a brother Bernie Neeley of Ann Arbor, MI, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Peter Michael officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. The family wishes to thank Dr. George Esham and his staff and Hillview Health Care Center and their staff for their kindness and care.
