Nero Shepherd Jr., 77

Nero Shepherd Jr., 77 of West Portsmouth died Saturday January 17, 2015 at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was born November 4, 1937 in West Portsmouth to the late Nero and Ella Hopkins Shepherd. He was a retired from the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. Along with his parents Nero was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Roy and Glenn Shepherd and 2 sisters; Geraldine Davis and Patricia Shepherd.

Nero is survived by his wife Carolyn Colley Shepherd who he married on August 5, 1969, 2 daughters; Vicki Anderson and Teresa Lepore both of West Portsmouth, 4 brothers; Norman, Alfred, James and Robert Shepherd, 4 sisters; Oma Aldridge, Margaret Coleman, Tina Rollins and Elaine Stapleton, 4 grandchildren; Chelsie (Jonathan) Putt, Corey Lepore, Anthony Lepore and Kyle Lepore along with 2 great grandchildren.
