Norma Katherine Euton, 75

Norma Katherine Euton, 75 of McDermott died Saturday July 26, 2014 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1938 in Portsmouth to the late John Lawrence and Mary Katherine Jacobs Essman. She was the Co-Owner of Euton TV in West Portsmouth for 45 years and worked at H&R Block for 21 years. She was a lifelong farmhand and loved working in her garden and on the farm. She was also a member of Lombardsville Community Church. Along with her parents, Norma was preceded in death by a brother Larry Essman, sister and brother in law Patsy and Carl Shaffer, sister in law Donna Essman, brother in law Eugene Euton and son in law Jim Culbertson. Norma is survived by her husband Stephen Paul Euton who she married on September 16, 1957, a son Stephen (Ruth) Euton of Norwalk, 4 daughters; Katherine "Kathy" (Ray) Harris of Stout, Barbara "Barbie" Culbertson and Charlotte (David) Hardy all of McDermott and Birgitta Tallila of Finland, 12 grandchildren; Stephanie (Joe) Frazee, Theresa Wellman, Casey Wellman, Christy (Jason) Bobst, Michael (Jill) Harris, Katie Culbertson, James Culbertson, Mack Culbertson, Brittany (Derek) Spencer, Taylor Hardy, Emelia Tallila and Sofia Tallila, 5 great grandchildren; Jenna and Ryland Bobst, Benjamin, Katelyn and Jackson Harris and 2 on the way, 3 brothers; Bob (Susie) Essman of Otway, George Essman of Sciotoville and Lewis (Debbie) Essman of West Union, 1 sister, Mary Carolyn (Jim) Longshore of Zanesville along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and adopted family members and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday July 31, 2014 at Lombardsville Community in McDermott with J.D. Stevens and Bob Davis officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call from 5 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church .
