Norma Jean Blake, 90

Norma Jean Blake, 90 of West Portsmouth, passed away early Sunday morning, February 18, 2024 at Portsmouth Health and Rehab.

She farmed alongside her husband Jack for many years, also working outside the home in earlier years.

Norma was an avid animal lover and was active in many animal care organizations and animal rights groups. She took home many trophies with her prize-winning rabbits she raised and showed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack whom she was married to for 50 years, her parents Archie and Alma Hamilton, her brothers Ramond and Carl Hamilton, and a sister Thelma Williams.

Survivors include her daughters Angela Nelson of South Carolina, Kathy (Mark) Copley of Delaware Ohio, Diane Harris of West Portsmouth, and Rhonda Blake of West Portsmouth. Her 6 grandchildren, Aaron Copley, Tobias Nelson, Elaine Gregory, Hope Tolman, Elisabeth Campbell, Olivia Achor, many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday February 24, 2024 at the Roger W Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Tom Williams officiating and interment in Blake Family Cemetery.
