Norma Jeanne Staten, 83

Norma Jeanne Prince Staten, 83 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday December 11, 2011 at Golden Years Convalescent Center. She was born June 21, 1928 in West Portsmouth to the late Charles Wesley and Grace Robinson Prince. She worked at Selby's, Marting's and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Raven Rock Garden Club. She was known for her loving ways and kindness to everyone. Along with her parents Norma was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Ray Prince and 2 sisters Ruth Hiner and Leah Guzauskas.

Norma is survived by her husband William Henry Staten, a son Glynn Wesley Staten of Jackson, a daughter Nancy Ellen Bailey of West Portsmouth, a sister-in-law Ruby Prince, 5 grandchildren; Christopher, Brett and Andrew Edmisten and Vanessa and Darren Staten, great grandchildren; Emma, Sam and Max Edmisten, Pam Dickson and Kirt Wesley.

There will be graveside services 1:00 PM Wednesday December 14, 2011 at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott with Reverend Peter Michael officiating with interment to follow. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth on Tuesday from 6 to 8:00 PM and at the cemetery on Wednesday starting at noon.
