Norma Jean Weber, 83

Norma Jean Weber, 83 of West Portsmouth died Tuesday February 16, 2010 at Ocotillo Adult Care Home in Tucson Arizona. She was born March 15, 1926 in Portsmouth to the late Carl Vincent and Daisy Marjorie Cooper Wessell. She was graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and worked at Mercy Hospital. She was proud to be a Mercy Grad.and enjoyed the support and community of her fellow grads until her death. She retired from Scioto Memorial Hospital where she worked in Labor & Delivery. She attended Nauvoo United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Weber, 2 brothers; Carl V. Wessell, Jr. and John G. Wessell and a grandson Shane Weber.

Norma is survived by a daughter Judy A. Vastine (Eric) of Tucson, AZ, 3 sons; Joseph D. Weber (Sue) of Wilson, NC, Terrance L. Weber of Batavia and Gary L. Weber (Kim) of Rosemount, 7 grandchildren and 1 brother, Roger L. Wessell of Marysville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday February 21, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8:00 PM on Saturday and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family would like to suggest a gift of volunteer time or money to a hospice, adult care home or nursing home in your area.
