Olen Kenneth Charlton, 91

Olen Kenneth Charlton, 91 of West Portsmouth died Thursday August 26, 2010 at his home. He was born October 28, 1918 in Vanceburg, Ky to the late Edward Franklin and Myrtle Alice Edington Charlton. He was a retired carpenter and worked out the Carpenter's Local # 437, was a WWII Army veteran and was of the Pentecostal faith. Along with his parents Olen was preceded in death by his wife Etta Pennington Charlton who he married May 28, 1955, a daughter Joann Charlton, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 9 brothers and sisters.

Olen is survived by 5 sons; John (Becky) Charlton, Dale Charlton and Dana Charlton all of West Portsmouth, Jim (Judy) Charlton of Columbus and Dave (Brenda) Charlton of Lucasville, 3 daughters; Tina (Chris) Book of Stout, Becky (Jerry) Conschafsky of West Portsmouth and Shirley (Ken) Spradlin of Chillicothe, 1 brother Willard Charlton of Rosemount, a special niece Sandy Smith of Portsmouth, 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren .

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday August 28, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Doug McNutt officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
