Patsy Ruth Shultz-Johnson-Clay 78

Patsy Ruth Shultz-Johnson-Clay 78, went to be with the Lord and her family in heaven on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Pleasant Hill Manor of Piketon. Patsy was born May 27, 1930 in Portsmouth to the late Delbert and Eva Louise Hale Newkirk Stewart. She was retired from F.W. Means as a bookkeeper, Nurses Aide at SOMC and a Secretary at AARP. Along with traveling and bowling in leagues from 1950's to the 1970's her and her husband, Willard, greatly enjoyed entertaining people by dancing/clogging at senior centers, nursing homes, weddings and local area festivities. Patsy was proceeded in death by one daughter; Penny Ruth Shultz, two brothers; James C. Stewart and Charles Stewart, three brother-in-laws; Edsel Clay, Henry Clay and John Oney, and two husbands; Carl Shultz Jr. and Frank Johnson.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Willard Clay, of 18 loving years, one daughter; Cynthia (David) Lute of Lucasville, one son; Douglas (Carol) Shultz of Columbus, 4 grandchildren; Joey (Dina) Shultz of Columbus, Jamie (Bob) Shultz-Jones of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Mark (Sherry) Lute of Lucasville and Stacey (Chris) Lute-Lykins of Otway, 6 Great Grandchildren; DJ Shultz, Zackary Henegar, Melina Shultz, Mitchell Lute, Brady and Kyleigh Lykins, one step-son; William(Yvonne) Clay of Missouri, brother and sister-in-laws; Patty Clay, Dorothy Oney, Bud (Meryl) Clay, Katheryn (Jerome) Holcomb and Beverly "Jo" (Jim) Reeder.

Graveside services will be 11am Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Scioto Burial Park with Pastor Daron Lilly officiating. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 8pm on Monday and at the cemetery at 11am Tuesday. Memorial Contributions may be made to SOMC Hospice in honor of Patsy's name.
