Patsy Jane Dyer, 93

Patsy Jane Dyer, 93 of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday May 4, 2021 at Portsmouth Health and Rehab. She was born December 9, 1927 in Blue Creek to the late Tony and Icie Evans Thurman.

She retired from William Shoe Factory and attended Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dyer, whom she married on September 30, 1961, 2 brothers; Charles and Von Thurman, 2 sisters-in-law; Joan and Helen Thurman and a brother-in-law Joe Rice.

Patsy is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Judy Thurman of West Portsmouth and a sister Wanda Rice of Fairview, Texas along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday May 10, 2021 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with David Sibole officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
