Paul David Riley, 93

Paul David Riley, 93 of West Portsmouth died Wednesday August 27, 2014 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born July 15, 1921 in Greenup, Kentucky to the late Jace and Sue F. Jordan Riley. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ada K. Lunday Riley who he married on November 21, 1941 in Ironton, 2 brothers; Forrest E. Riley and Pastor Richard Lee Riley, a sister Dorothy Lee Riley Jones and a son in law Don Shively. Paul was a WWII US Army Veteran. He retired from the Operating Engineers in 1984 and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in West Portsmouth and the Woodman of the World. Paul is survived by a daughter Loretta Shively of Wheelersburg, 2 sons; Paul Douglas (Patricia) Riley of Lucasville and Phillip Daniel Riley of West Portsmouth, 7 grandchildren; Nenna (Bruce) Bayes, Donna Kay (Mike) Dill, Michael (Katrina) Riley, Susie (Mic) Maynard, Jason (Tishoma) Riley, Shannah Cook, Rocky (Valerie) Cook, Krista (Zach) Gullufsen, 17 great grandchildren; Jenny Bayes, Andrew (Ashley) Bayes, Josh (Sarah) Dill, Joseph Dill, Erik Riley, Emily Riley, Caleb (Courtney) Downing, Kyle Downing, Trey (Laura) Maynard, Kaela Maynard, Kenzie Maynard, Abby Riley, Madi Riley, Jason Riley II, Nick (Lindsay) Cook and Adelynn Cook and Joey Dunlap, 5 great great grandchildren; Addison and Alianna Bayes, Maxten Paul Gullufsen, Brian Dill and Colton Maynard. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday September 1, 2014 at Victory Baptist Church in West Portsmouth with the Reverends Paul Gibson and Bob Temple officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Church on Sunday from 3 to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
