Paula Rae Shaw, 67

Paula Rae Shaw, 67 of Friendship died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Kings Daughter's Hospital in Ashland, KY. Paula was born October 23, 1938 in Portsmouth to the late Holly T. and Lucille Cannady Flowers. She retired from Friendship School where she worked as a Teachers Aide. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, the Animal Welfare League, and the Portsmouth Rabbit Breeders Association. She served as a 4-H Club Advisor, a Cub Scout Advisor and a Brownie Advisor.

Paula is survived by her husband, Gary Martin Shaw whom she married April 18, 1958 in the Oldtown United Methodist Parsonage. Paula is also survived by a son, Joseph Martin Shaw (Cathy) of Friendship; a daughter Tamela R. Prater (Pete Bowen) of Friendship; two brothers, Ralph Flowers (Jan) of Minford, Thad Flowers of Friendship, one granddaughter, Hollie Rae Prater, one niece Kim Flowers, two nephews, Sean and Kyle Flowers.

Funeral services will be held 1 P. M. Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with James E. Slaughter officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
