Philip Luther, 70
Philip Luther, 70, of West Portsmouth died Monday, March 12, 2007 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Philip was born September 22, 1936 in Portsmouth to the late Arnold and Mary Belle Monk Luther. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Reserves for 6 years.
Philip is survived by his wife Marjorie Joan Mershon Luther; a daughter Vicki Murnahan two brothers, William and Richard Luther; four sisters, Helen Cyrus, Frances Scott, Mirriam Austin and Phyllis Harrison; four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Albert and Arnold Luther, Jr.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Darrell Grimes officiating and interment in Sunset Gardens with graveside Military Rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
