Phyllis Jean Farney 70

Phyllis Jean Farney 70 of Galloway, Ohio formerly of Portsmouth died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Doctors Hospital in Columbus. Phyllis was born January 15, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Evertt and Nettie Davis Ratcliff. She had worked as a dietitian for Hempstead Manor and the Buckeye Ranch. She was preceded in death by her husband; James Farney and one daughter; Annette Burchett.

Phyllis is survived by three daughter's; Jeannie (Eddie) Wright of Galloway, Brenda (Ernie) Horton of Lucasville and Lisa Farney of Portsmouth, two brothers; Richard Ratcliff of NC, Frank Ratcliff of Columbus, six sister's; Evelyn Bentley of Portsmouth, Betty Lewis of Hartsville, AL, Pauline Adkins of Portsmouth, Wilma McKenzie and Ann Adkins both of Columbus and Rosie Harr of West Portsmouth, seven grandsons; Jason (Christina) Wright and Chris (Connie) Wright both of Grove City, Ryan (Jen) Horton of Homestead, FL, Eric Horton and Kyle Burchett of Lucasville, Cody Farney of Portsmouth and Chaze Southern of Portsmouth., five great grandchildren; Miranda, Logan , Miranda and Haley Wright all of Grove City and Eli Burchett of Lucasville and one son-in-law; Bill Burchett of Lucasville.

Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with George Vastine officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
