Phyllis Jean Lewis, 80

Phyllis Jean Lewis, 80 of Cattlesburg, Kentucky., died Saturday August 5, 2023 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born August 23, 1942 in Portsmouth, to the late Carl Edward and Bertha Mae Swords Reiser.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stanley Lewis, whom she married on June 9, 1967 and a sister, Peggy Scott.

Phyllis was a retired teacher from Boyd County Schools and was a member of Life Song Church in Russell Kentucky. Phyllis is survived by 2 sons: Robert Joseph Lewis and Michael E. Lewis, 3 grandchildren: Kelly Lewis, Dyson Lewis and Kylie Lewis and a sister Carol Ross.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday August 10, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth with Pastor Tom Williams officiating.. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery starting at 12:30 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
