Ralph Edward Chamblin, 74
Ralph Edward Chamblin, 74 of Winchester, formally of Friendship, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born September 1, 1933 in Adams County to the late William Everett and Dora Essie Evans. Along with his parents Ralph was also preceded in death by his first wife Deetta Chamblin, 4 brothers Jim Harley, Oscar and Carl Chamblin, 1 sister Mary Jo Dunkin. Ralph was a retired custodian from Washington-Nile Local Schools and attended Sandy Springs Pentacostal Church.
Ralph is survived by his wife Lillie Long Chamblin, 3 sons; Ralph A. (Debbie) Chamblin of Franklin Furnace, Randall E. (Alba) Chamblin of West Union and Scot B. (Sue) Chamblin of Blue Creek, 1 daughter Derthea M. (Larry) Tackett of Portsmouth, 5 Stepchildren Patricia (David) Holsinger of Stout, Brenda Blanton and Becky Jordan of West Portsmouth, Daniel (Christi) Jordan and David (Sandra) Jordan of Stout; 23 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren 1 brother Howard Chamblin of Winchester.
Funeral services will be 11AM Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Tim Throckmorton officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour before the service on Wednesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
