Ralph Rapp Jr., 86

Ralph Rapp Jr., 86, of McDermott, died Wednesday January 14, 2015 at SOMC Hospice He was born November 5, 1928 in Scioto County to the late Ralph and Otley Mae Crowder Rapp Sr. Ralph was a pattern maker for the shoe industry and was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church. Along with his parents Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Betty Imogene Greer Rapp who he married on June 2, 1951, a daughter Beverly Clark, 2 sisters; Sabrina Bernthold and Emma Rickman.

Ralph is survived by a daughter Janice (Rich) Fraley of Portsmouth, a son in law Rick Clark of Lucasville, 3 sisters; Avanelle Sayre of West Portsmouth, Carolyn Rutledge of Piketon and Nancy (Frank) Shepherd of McDermott, brothers in law; Merrill Rickman of West Portsmouth and George Dooms of Evansville, IN, brother and sister in law, Don and Edith Greer of Fisher, IL, 6 grandchildren; Jesse Johnson, Steven Johnson, Jonathan Clark, Jeremy Clark, Richie Fraley and Anna Whitt, along with 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday January 19, 2015 at Nauvoo United Methodist Church in West Portsmouth with Rick Clark and Ralph Clay officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 8:00 PM on Sunday and on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.
