Ralph Staggs, 78

Ralph Kenneth Staggs, 78 of West Portsmouth died Friday October 28, 2011 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born December 9, 1932 in Scioto County to the late Russell R. and Helen Millison Staggs. Ralph retired from Oberlings where he worked as a parts manager, and had also worked at Barbour Auto Parts. He was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Robert, William and Richard Staggs, 2 sisters; Joanne Browning, and Joyce Cernut.

Ralph is survived by his wife; Nancy Young Staggs who he married April 11, 1964, a nephew who he helped raise; Ronald Cernut, and several nieces and nephews. He appreciated the love and care shown to him by his nieces; Sharon Crawford, Chris Justice Lanthorn, Carrie and Susan Justice and also a thank you to Kelly for her concern.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday November 1, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with military graveside rites by the James Dickey Post 23 of the American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to7:00 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
