Reverend Charles Edward Lore, 78

Charles Edward Lore, 78 of Springfield, Ohio formerly of Portsmouth, died Monday March 22, 2010 at Good Shepherd Village in Springfield. He was born May 12, 1931 in Portsmouth to the late Walter and Minnie Cartmell Lore. He was a retired Minister and was a former Painter for Navistar and was a Korean War Army Veteran. Along with his parents Charles was preceded in death by 2 sons; Stephan Brent Lore and Mark Lore, a daughter Terrie Lore, a brother Stanley and 3 sisters; Ann, Mary Bender and Stella LaDowe.


Charles is survived by his wife Patricia Litteral Lore who he married November 3, 1953 in Portsmouth, 2 daughters; Janet A Perry and Carla Burton both of Springfield, 3 brothers; George, Darrell and Sherman Lore, 4 sisters; Joy Oaks, Betty Burke, Alta Mae Thompson and Edith, 8 grandchildren; Jerimi and Corina Lore, Amanda Lore, Paige Lore, Chynna Lore, Mark /Logan Lore, Joshua and Bethany Perry, Jason and Patty Perry, and Melissa , 3 great grandchildren and 2 daughters-in law; Brandi Jackson and Gaile Lore.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 27, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Gerald Penix officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
